Weavers & Spinners
Anyone can attend a Full Circle event. Two groups were started to connect participants and train women to become leaders, learn to work in a group, and host events. These two groups are Weavers and Spinners.
Weavers: an earth-centered women's covenant group, with a 1 year committment.
Weavers meet on the new moon and the full moon every month. On the new moon, we plan the full moon celebration, which is open to all women. We have excessive amounts of fun, creating spiritual experiences for ourselves and others, sharing what.s happening in our lives, and deepening our connections to the cycles of nature. Weavers and Full Circle are experiential programs involving singing, dancing, drumming, meditation, laughing, and artwork. We recommend that women interested in joining Weavers attend some of the full moon circles first. Women must committ to leading one Full Moon circle, supported by her Weaver sisters. Spinners:an earth-centered women's covenant group, with a 4 month committment.
Spinners journey together for four full moons as a closed group from
October to January. During this time the wheel of the year passes
through the dark months until the light returns. Spinners explore
the healing and mysterious qualities of darkness, unearth energies
trapped in their shadow selves, and return to the world with renewed
power and light. Experiences include journaling, guided imagery,
mask making, singing, dancing, drumming, crafting sacred objects,and
feasting. At the last of the four moons, each woman will celebrate
her renewed self and the sisterhood of Spinners in a light-
filled ceremony.
The commitment
During the Spinners season, full moon circles will be limited to
those making the Spinner journey. Circles will be open during the
rest of the year to all women on a drop-in basis.
Pay a $20 materials fee
Make a good faith effort to attend all four circles and to be
accountable to your sisters
