By choosing a Pagan path, you may start to wonder what defines a church and community. In my search of other paths I researched Unitarian Universalist (UU) and liked it so much I became a member of the church. I like how they embrace all traditions and paths. They do not have dogma but follow principles, of which the main part is to respect other faiths as viable options to learning about God. They also have respect for the environment or the "interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part" (see below for more info). There are many different groups and faiths that have organizations under the UU Association. UU members come from all paths, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, etc. Another valid path is paganism, or as some call it “earth centered spirituality. ” You can find out more about UU and Paganism by on of their organizations: Covenant of Unitarian Universalist Pagans (CUUPS) at their web page. Each church focuses on it’s own interests as the parish evolves. It is a very intellectual religion drawing on popular and academic literature for services, but it can be a very spiritual religion as well, I feel. I've enjoyed many UU sermons on the web and many churches host Pagan activities. Here are a list of UU Churches that I have met Pagan members that attend. Some have gatherings hosted at the churches. You are welcome to check the UU site yourself and investigate if there is a church near you, with a pagan group that may use their facilities or be an open program of the church but not publicized out of lack of energy.
